This is the main beach at Barcelona.  Packed but too cold to swim.

The Opera House in Palermo.  Takes up a whole block.

The old gates to the city at the port in Palermo.  Note the aquaduct next to it.  Older Roman walls are dated back to the Phoenicians and 2500BC.

Another section of the old city wall in Palermo.  In suburbia and about 600 y/o.

  4. Lucas, I´m glad for everyone (especially me) that you're keeping up the blog while you travel alone. I find it makes you feel not so far from home and gives everyone at home some travel fun too.
Would love to seen your pics from Pompeii too! The Sorrento train station to Pompeii is where the entry barrier tried to break both my arms!! Emmeline was a great help at the time, almost rolling around laughing at me. This is where my hesitation at barrier gates comes from, hence the problems we had getting to Bordeaux airport!!!
